Hey hey—we’re Craig and Vanessa. Married over 10 years, which basically means we’ve seen each other at our best, our worst, and in every “can you just not breathe so loud” moment in between. We’ve got two boys—Dallas (not after the Cowboys, calm down) and Levi (not the jeans, either)—who are equal parts chaos and comedy, and somehow still the bosses of this house.
Romantic? Nah. We’re more divide and survive than date nights and rose petals. Most days are a mix of noise, mess, and forgetting why we walked into a room… but we’re in it together.
The Mess Express is our real-life ride through parenthood, marriage, community, and the “what even is happening?” moments in between. We’re not experts—we’re just showing up, inviting you along for the ride. Unfiltered. Raw honesty. Wildly relatable parenting fails, questionable parenting wisdom, and hopefully a little hilarious.

City-raised, now living the country life, and never far from a game, a project, or a good story. I’ve got a deep love for all things sport and a habit of diving headfirst into whatever adventure comes my way. I’m the guy who can break down a playoff series while fixing a fence, then hustle to the sidelines of my kid’s soccer game to do some unofficial parent coaching. Sports aren’t just something I watch—they’re how I think, how I connect, and how I keep my sanity.
These days, I’m out in the sticks with my wife and our two young boys, juggling family chaos, small home projects, and whatever the hell the neighbours are up to. I don’t need a plan—I just follow where my crew takes me, boots on the ground and eyes on the horizon. This podcast is my campfire: a place for real talk, raw takes, and stories that don’t need polish to matter.
